Do I need to know how to code?

No. TheCoinLab is built for founders, marketers and entrepreneurs without blockchain development experience. You never need to write or understand Solidity, Rust or any other smart contract language.

Which blockchains are supported?

We currently support Ethereum (ERC-20), Solana (SPL Token 2022), BNB Chain (BEP-20) and Polygon. More chains including Base, Arbitrum and SUI are on our roadmap.

How long does deployment take?

Accepted Answer

Typically under 60 seconds after payment confirmation. Ethereum mainnet can take 1–3 minutes depending on network congestion. Solana deployments usually complete in under 10 seconds.

Do I own the token after deployment?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You receive full ownership and admin rights to your deployed token. TheCoinLab does not retain any control over tokens after deployment.

What is a buy/sell tax and should I use one?

Accepted Answer

A buy/sell tax automatically deducts a percentage from each transaction and distributes it to a wallet you control (e.g. a liquidity wallet, marketing wallet or burn address). It is commonly used by DeFi projects to fund development and liquidity. However, high taxes (above 5%) can deter buyers and make your token harder to list on aggregators.

What does "anti-whale" protection do?

Anti-whale sets a maximum wallet size (e.g. 2% of total supply) to prevent any single holder from accumulating a dominant position. This protects your community from large coordinated sell-offs and makes the token distribution more decentralised.

What is the difference between mintable and fixed supply?

Accepted Answer

A fixed supply token has a set total supply that can never be increased — this is deflationary by design. A mintable token allows the owner wallet to create additional tokens after deployment. Fixed supply is generally preferred by the market as it removes inflation risk.

Can I add a presale to my token?

Yes. The Presale Module lets you configure a hardcap, softcap, vesting schedule and whitelist. The presale contract is deployed separately from the token and manages fund collection and token distribution automatically.

What is token vesting?

Accepted Answer

Vesting locks tokens for a period and releases them gradually over time. It is typically used for team allocations to demonstrate commitment and prevent founders from selling immediately after launch. We support linear (monthly) vesting and cliff + linear schedules.

How much does it cost to create a token?

Our base deployment price starts at €29 for a simple fixed-supply token. Advanced features such as taxes, anti-whale, presale module and API access are priced individually. Check our Pricing page for current rates.

Can I pay with crypto?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We accept SOL (via Phantom or Solflare wallet) and ETH/BNB on the respective networks. We also accept iDEAL, credit cards and other payment methods via Stripe.

Are there gas fees on top of the platform fee?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The platform fee covers our service. Blockchain gas fees are separate and paid directly to the network at the time of deployment. Gas fees vary by network — Solana gas is typically under $0.01, while Ethereum mainnet can range from $5 to $50+ depending on congestion.

Do you offer refunds?

All sales are final. Because smart contract deployment is irreversible on-chain, we cannot offer refunds for completed deployments. If a deployment fails due to an error on our side, we will re-attempt the deployment at no cost or issue a platform credit.

Is creating a token legal?

Accepted Answer

The legality of creating and selling crypto tokens depends on your jurisdiction. In most countries, creating a utility token or meme token for personal or community use is legal. However, offering tokens as investments (i.e. as securities) may require regulatory compliance. We strongly recommend consulting a legal advisor in your country before launching your token to the public.

Is TheCoinLab responsible for tokens created on the platform?

No. TheCoinLab is a technical infrastructure provider. Token creators are solely and fully responsible for their token, its use, its marketing and its impact on third parties. Please read our full Disclaimer for details.

Can you help me if my token gets rugged or exploited?

Accepted Answer

TheCoinLab is not able to intervene in on-chain transactions or recover lost funds. Blockchain transactions are irreversible. We recommend having your smart contract audited by a third-party security firm before launching, and never investing more than you can afford to lose.

Do you store my private keys?

Accepted Answer

Never. TheCoinLab does not store, access or transmit your wallet private keys. When you connect a wallet (Phantom, MetaMask, etc.), only your public address is shared with our platform. Signing transactions always happens locally in your wallet.

Is my data safe with TheCoinLab?

Accepted Answer

We take data privacy seriously and are GDPR compliant. We do not sell personal data. All data is stored in EU-region databases and transmitted over TLS/HTTPS. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What token standard does TheCoinLab use for Solana?

Accepted Answer

We use SPL Token 2022 (the latest Solana token standard) with optional Metaplex metadata for token name, symbol and logo on-chain.

Are the smart contracts audited?

Accepted Answer

Our base ERC-20 contract is based on the OpenZeppelin audited contract library and has been reviewed by our internal security team. Audit reports from third-party firms will be published on our website. For high-value launches, we recommend commissioning your own audit.

Can I verify my contract on Etherscan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After deployment, we provide the contract source code and ABI. You can verify the contract on Etherscan, BscScan or Polygonscan using our provided source and constructor arguments.

Question 23

What happens if I lose access to my owner wallet?

Accepted Answer

The token owner wallet is the only wallet with admin rights. If you lose access to it, you permanently lose the ability to mint, pause or configure the token. TheCoinLab has no back-door access and cannot recover ownership for you. Always back up your wallet seed phrase securely.
